We are fielding a one-time, 12-month AI Safety Fellowship for fellows to serve in AI Safety roles in key executive branch offices-- possibilities include Commerce, State, Homeland, and Energy.
The stipend for the program is $190k and fellows will likely begin between August and September. We have FAQs available on the application site.
AI Safety efforts are likely to be incredibly consequential in the future. This will be the first AI safety tech team in government and this is an opportunity to build these entities from the ground up.
This fellowship will almost certainly require you to work in a federal office in DC or SF and you have to be a U.S. citizen (you will have to pass an agency background check) to be eligible.
