Happy Cybersecurity Awareness Month!
Women in Security and Privacy is proud to be part of the Get CyberSmart campaign, a collective of 21 organizations that have provided resources designed to enhance cybersecurity awareness and knowledge for students across K-12 education.
As part of the campaign, Women in Security and Privacy has highlighted career opportunities for students. This includes profiles of WISP community members who share information about their roles and how students can prepare for similar careers. View career opportunity profiles.
With a particular emphasis on historically underrepresented groups, these resources help build foundational awareness of cybersecurity, from essential preventative measures to potential career pathways in the field. By engaging students early, the initiative aims to foster a stronger understanding of digital safety and inspire future interest in cybersecurity careers. The initiative is possible thanks in part to the generous support from the Craig Newmark Foundation.
From toolkits to lesson plans, this extensive vault of resources can be explored at www.getcybersmart.org.
