Women's Salary Negotiation Workshop: Advocating For Yourself In Your Career

When you think of advocating for yourself in your career, what do you feel?

  • Are you nervous or excited about asking for the salary you really want?

  • Do you feel unsure of what to say when the Recruiter asks on the first phone call, "What are your salary expectations"?

  • Are you unsure whether you will leave money on the table even if you negotiate?

  • How can you counter the first offer effectively without being viewed as greedy or coming off as too much but not remaining silent and just accepting?

These are just some of the common but pivotal conversations women face in their careers. Each one is a crucial juncture that determines how much you make for your lifetime and whether you can achieve career satisfaction.

It is clear that women have done an amazing job at building valuable skill sets, immense experience, and successful careers across vast industries. What is also apparent, is society has not sufficiently taught or supported women to advocate for themselves to maximize their opportunity and pay despite frequently performing at the top amongst their peers.

And in the security and privacy sector, you have inherent leverage based on your skill set and industry expertise. If you don’t ask, or under ask, you risk leaving money on the table that could have been yours. This is where an Executive Coach with the experience and skill set in managing these conversations is key.

Meet Aaron Thweatt, Executive Coach of Respark Coaching. He has a highly specific background in HR and Compensation at multiple Fortune 500 and high growth tech companies (SpaceX, DoorDash, Activision Blizzard, AECOM). He knows how companies think and make compensation decisions. With this insider knowledge gleaned well over a decade, he empowers women to use their voices to advocate for themselves in all aspects of their career!

In collaboration with WISP, Aaron will be giving a workshop on primarily how to negotiate salary as a job seeking candidate. From determining the optimal rate of pay for your skill set, managing your network to find new roles, interviewing well, and actually negotiating, it all culminates in getting an offer that you feel good about.

REGISTER NOW to join virtually for a 90 minute workshop to learn the strategies to advocate for your worth during salary negotiations.
