In celebration of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, Women in Security and Privacy (WISP) and Dropbox are teaming up to present a panel discussion on how to jumpstart your career in security. The talk will be followed by a networking and resume workshop. According to Cobalt’s 2017 Women in Cybersecurity report, fewer than 50% of respondents entered the field via IT or Computer Science.

Join us for appetizers, drinks and a lively discussion where the panelists will tell their stories about how they got into the security field. We will be highlighting women who have diverse backgrounds and a wide range of industry experience. Our panelists have experience in Law, Engineering, Psychology, Neuroscience, User Experience Research, Environmental Science, Sales, Education, and the Performing Arts. Bring your resume and stick around after the panel discussion for networking with the panelists and attendees, with an opportunity to listen to Caroline Wong, Vice President of Security Strategy at Cobalt.io, walk through resume and cover letter best practices for the field.

Please feel free to invite your fellow privacy and security colleagues, but hurry! Space is limited.
