Hello #STMIC Network and friends!
We’re excited to share that, thank you to funding from Google’s data governance team. We will be hosting a book event in March! Please join us on Wednesday, March 29, from 1 pm - 2 pm EST for a virtual book event with Minda Harts, author of Right Within: How to Heal from Racial Trauma in the Workplace.
Right Within is Minda’s latest book, and focuses on how women of color can heal - and thrive - in the workplace. She is also the author of The Memo, a book focused on the odds stacked against women of color with advice and tools to address them. During her hour with the #ShareTheMicInCyber network, she will talk about practical steps that women of color can thrive in professional settings, and shed light on the book writing process. There will also be a short Q&A at the end of the hour.
The first 75 US-based registrations will receive a free copy of Right Within! To ensure you receive a copy, please fill out the registration form entirely and accurately. We will only use your address to send you this book and will delete your information following the event. If you register by March 8, you will receive your book before the virtual event; you will still receive a book if you sign up after March 8, but you may not receive your copy until after the event.
STMIC Fellowship Advisor and WISP Pipeline Lead, Christina Morillo, will be introducing Minda, facilitating the event, and discussing her own journey writing her books, all available here.
Register for the virtual book event here below! Calendar invitations will be sent out after registration.
